This group of fighter pilots who flew for the Luftwaffe signs this commemorative envelope
Commemorative Envelope Signed: "Arnold Blasig" "Wilhelm Joswig", "Ernst-Wilhelm Reinert", "Werner Roell", "Werner Schoer" and "Gustav Pressler" 6½x4¼. ARNULF BLASIG (1913-1998) was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. He joined the Bundeswehr in the 1950s, retiring in 1972 as an Oberst. WILHELM JOSWIG (1912-1989) flew in the Luftwaffe during World War II, and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for his valiant service. During the course of his military career, Joswig flew 820 missions and became a highly-decorated Oberleutnant. GUSTAV PREßLER (1912-1985) was a Stuka pilot in the WWII-era Luftwaffe. He received the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves for his military service. ERNST-WILHELM REINERT (1919-2007) was a flying ace who flew for Nazi Germany. He received the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves for his exemplary service. WERNER ROELL (1914-2008) was a major who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for his service in the Luftwaffe during World War II. WERNER SCHRÖER (1918-1985) was a flying ace who received theKnight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. He was ranked second for air victories in the Mediterranean during World War II. Lightly toned. Corners and edges gently worn. Stain toward lower right-hand corner resulting from previously adhered sticker. Identities and accomplishments of signers are neatly stamped in German on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
