TLS: "Arthur A. Link" as Governor of North Dakota, 1p, 6x9. Bismarck, North Dakota, 1973 October 5. On letterhead embossed with the state seal to Mr. Danny Franklin, Phoenix, Arizona. In full: "Thank you for your recent letter requesting a photograph of myself. I am enclosing an autographed photo and also the names and addresses of the living former Governors of North Dakota. I hope this information is of assistance to you. Sincerely yours". Enclosures not present. Arthur Albert Link (1914-2010) was Governor of North Dakota from 1973-1981. At age 92 (as of 2006), Link is the longest-lived Governor of the state. He had previously served in the North Dakota State House of Representatives (1947-1970; Speaker, 1965) and as a Democratic U.S. Representative from North Dakota (1971-1973).
