Astrophysicist Arthur Adel (1908-1994) discovered the 20 micron "window" in the Earth's atmosphere and discovered that nitrous oxide is nature's device to control the ozone in the atmosphere. He also researched the spectra of Uranus and Neptune and made the first in-depth study of atmospheric absorption of solar radiation. Glue of right back flap shows through to blank area. Fine condition.
