His first novel, 1958's Flight into Danger, was co-written with John Castle. The Final Diagnosis was the basis for the 1961 movie The Young Doctors. Best-selling English-born author Hailey (1920-2004), who began his writing career with scripts for early TV anthologies, sold over 170 million copies of his books in 40 languages. His works, many of which were made into feature films, include Hotel (1965), Airport (1968), Wheels (1971) and The Money Changers (1975). Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Jacket is affixed to covers. Cover is lightly scuffed and scratched with light dents and tears at top edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
