ARTHUR SCOTT. Autograph Poem signed: "A. Scott", 1p, 8½x5¾. In full: "Dead leaves/blowing across her gravesite/autumn after autumn." Written at right margin of sheet on which is typed a five-stanza poem and a drawing of a picture mentioned in the poem. Signed: "Arthur Scott/June 15, 1984". The typed poem begins, as written: "hi, my name is arthur scott and/i'm the one who made this frame;/i'm not an artist with a paint brush,/yet i'm an artist just the same...." Printed caption to left of frame: "Hexagram Symbolizing/Peace - Within a Heart,/symbolizing Love -/Within an Oak Frame,/Symbolizing Strength, Stability & Longevity/(Eternity)". Within box, Scott has written and encircled: "719". Likely a typescript to which Scott added handwritten lines. Slightly soiled. Minor smudges on verso (no show through). Fine condition.
