Signature: "A Kornberg", 5x3 card. Arthur Kornberg, of Stanford
University, and Severo Ochoa (1905-1993), of the New York University
College of Medicine, were co-recipients of the 1959 Nobel Prize in
Medicine "for their discovery of the mechanisms in the biological synthesis
of ribonucleic acid and deoxiribonucleic acid" (the biological synthesis of
RNA and DNA). Kornberg, who developed DNA in the laboratory, served
as Professor and Chairman of Stanford's Department of Biochemistry for
ten years. Slightly creased. Pencil notes (unknown hand) on verso (no show
through). Fine condition.
