To "My dear Mr. Levaine", in full: "I am afraid I asked Mr.
Wheeler to look in at 12 o'clock tomorrow Tuesday. I find I can't be at [?]

his address here or I would write myself.) this alteration in our arrangements.

Arthur William à Beckett (1844-1909) wrote for Punch magazine
(1874-1902) and was editor of the Sunday Times (1891-1895). He wrote
several humorous books, beginning with Comic Guide to the Royal Academy
(1864). He also wrote to comedy plays, and a novel Fallen Among Thieves
(1869). Edges frayed. Multiple mailing folds. Otherwise, fine
condition.
