the Articles of Confederation

Anthony M. Kennedy (b. 1936) was appointed Associate Justice of the
Supreme Court by President Reagan in 1988. He started his tenure on the Court
with a highly conservative voting record, voting with Justices Rehnquist and
Scalia 90 percent of the time and, with Justice O'Connor, contributing votes to
conservative majorities. Later, though, he began to vote more independently
and from a civil-libertarian perspective. He also co-authored the court's
majority opinion in the 1992 abortion rights case Planned Parenthood of
Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey. Kennedy retired from the Court in
2009. Corners lightly worn and creased. Light surface creases. Lightly
toned. Slightly soiled on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
