ARTHUR GOLDBERG
Inscribed signature: "To Elliot F. Kraemer/With every/good wish/Arthur J.
Goldberg", 5x3 card. A labor lawyer, Goldberg (1908-1990) served as
President Kennedy's Secretary of Labor (1961-1962) before being appointed
Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. In 1965, he was convinced by LBJ
to give up his lifetime Supreme Court appointment to succeed the late Adlai E.
