Brandeis, Dunbar & Nutter stationery to Charles H. Tyler, Esq., Boston. The
first Jew appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court (1916-1939) writes to a colleague
about "the settlement made in the Bryant matter today". Brandeis, who was
appointed to the Supreme Court by President Wilson, was at this time practicing
law in Boston (1879-1916), building his reputation as "the people's attorney".
Creased with folds. Folds do not touch signature, which is heavily penned.
