Autograph Note signed: "Regards to George Dickerson/Stanley F. Reed", 6x4½. Stanley Reed (1884-1980), born Stanley Forman Reed, was U.S. Solicitor General (1935-1938) and presented the government arguments in numerous New Deal cases. Appointed to the Supreme Court by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1938, Reed was considered a moderate and often held the balance between the liberal and the conservative members of the Court in split decisions. He retired in 1957. Fine condition.
