William J. Brennan, Jr. signs a philatelic envelope honoring Patrick
Henry.
Philatelic Envelope signed: "Wm J Brennan Jr", 6½x3½. First
Day Cover honoring Patrick Henry, postmarked Richmond, Virginia, January 11,
1961, four 4-cent stamps affixed, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Cachet in the American
Credo Series picturing Henry with a scroll captioned: "Give me LIBERTY or give
me DEATH - P. Henry". William J. Brennan, Jr. (1906-1997), appointed
Associate Justice by President Eisenhower, served from 1956-1990. He

Justices Rehnquist and Scalia. Fine condition.
