television actor and comedian Avery Schreiber (1935-2002) first gained notice as
part of a comedy team with Jack Burns. After the duo was introduced by
Jack Paar on his Tonight Show in 1964, they became regular performers
on TV variety shows - and hosted their own summer replacement show,
The Burns and Schreiber Comedy Hour, in 1973. Schreiber, who appeared
in a number of made-for-TV movies, was a frequent guest star on a
long list of TV series, including My Mother the Car (1965-1966),
and TV talk and game shows. His film credits include The Last Remake
of Beau Geste (1977), Cannonball Run II (1984), Robin Hood: Men in
Tights (1993) and Dying on the Edge (2001). Ink slightly beaded at
one word. Lightly creased, touching hair. Minor surface scratches (most not
evident head on). Overall, fine condition.
