Autograph letter signed: "Dearest John - Enclosed are copies of my book ("Sacred Trust" the first - "Butterfly Avengers" the sequel). The Deetrack tape is the best quality I could master as the recordings are over 50 years old and were in the OSS files - they were for lack of a better phrase "American Propaganda" aimed at the German Soldiers on the front lines and the words do not match the American lyrics but are rather aimed at making the poor bastards home sick and horney not necessarily in that order - at any rate no matter what the purpose Marlene was something else!! Nothing like her since! Hope to see you soon! Love". Post script: "All of the songs are on the tape but there are only 2 songs on side B of the tape - my timing got screwed up". Barbara Atlee is the author of the books Sacred Trusts and its sequel The Butterfly Avengers. John A. Willis (1916-2010), active in Theatre World from the beginning, became its chief editor in 1965, holding that position until 2008. Willis is regarded as one of the foremost theatre and film historians of the 20th century. While producing (and presenting) the annual Theatre World Awards, Willis also served on the nominating committee for the Tony Awards. Theatre World, which received its own Tony for Excellence in Theatre in 2001, continues under chief editor Ben Hodges. Normal mailing folds. Creased throughout. Slightly toned.
