Pleased that she passed on a film to complete the run of a play, she apologizes to theatrical producer Charles Forsythe for listing him as her last employer.

To "Dear Charles" [Forsythe], in full: "Thank you so much for writing - (I received both letters.) and I want you to know that I very much enjoyed the seven weeks and although I ultimately did not do the film - it was just as well - I did not relish leaving a job undone - and so the record is still intact! I had to turn down several jobs during the run of the play and that, I am told, makes me even more desirable ... [Ellipses in original.] We shall see. Obviously I should not have given your address as 'last employer' - I was not thinking. I shall send it on to Falmouth. I shall be back in New York by March - with a side trek first to Africa if inflation permits. Hope you're recovered from the summer traumas! - and that you are able to get off somewhere for a rest. I, too, hope that we shall work together again. Thank you. Affectionately". Barbara Babcock (b. 1937) won a Primetime Emmy as Best Leading Actress in 1981 for her portrayal of Grace Gardner on Hill Street Blues. She was nominated for another in 1985 as Dorothy Jennings on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. She made multiple appearances in such TV series as Star Trek and Murder She Wrote, and had a recurring role on Dallas (1978-1981) and Pasadena (2001-2001). Her feature films included Bang the Drum Slowly (1973) and Space Cowboys (2000). In 1994 People magazine numbered her among the 100 Most Beautiful People. Charles Forsythe was a theater director and producer. Fine condition.
