Rare signature of O'Neil on an album leaf bearing a magazine photo of her
Signature: "Barbara O'Neil", in pencil. 4¼x2½ album leaf. Small b/w magazine photo affixed in lower right corner. Barbara O'Neil (1910-1980), primarily a stage actress, made her film debut in Stella Dallas (1937). She received critical acclaim for her film performances opposite Charles Boyer in When Tomorrow Never Comes (1939) and All This and Heaven Too (1940), gaining an Oscar nomination for the latter role. Her best remembered role, however, was as Eileen O'Hara, Scarlett's mother in Gone with the Wind (1939). The last of her dozen Broadway roles was a starring on in Little Moon of Alba (1960). Holes from album binding at left edge. Soiled and lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
