Autograph note signed: "To Carol/Barbara/Ruick", in black ink, 5¾x4½. Attached newspaper clipping of the actress' face. The daughter of Lurene Tuttle, Barbara Ruick (1932-1974) was an American actress and singer. Beginning in radio, Ruick eventually made the transition to film, with her first major film appearance being in 1952's Invitation. She would appear in several more films, including Carousel (1956), The Affairs of Dobbie Gillis (1953), and Cinderella (1965). She also made appearances in several television series, and was a regular on The Johnny Carson Show. However, her career was ended prematurely, after suffering from a cerebral hemorrhage while on set in Reno, Nevada. Her last film was dedicated to her. Ink notes (unknown hand).
