BARBARA STANWYCK
Black and white publicity photograph of Barbara Stanwyck in a scene from the film Cry Wolf.
Photograph signed: "Barbara Stanwyck". B/w, 8x9¾. Shown with Errol Flynn in a scene from the film Cry Wolf (1947). Stanwyck, whose film career had been recognized with four Oscar nominations, found herself cast in second-rate vehicles by the late 1950s. In 1957 for example, the star of Stella Dallas, Ball of Fire, Double Indemnity and Sorry Wrong Number, appeared in the forgettable Crime of Passion, Trooper Hook and Forty Guns. She made a successful transition to television, starring in The Barbara Stanwyck Show and The Big Valley, for which she won an Emmy Award. Fine condition.
