Autograph Sentiment signed: "Sincerely yours/Barry Lupino/no photographs", 3x1¾ card. Barry Lupino (1882-1962) was an English-born actor, producer, and comedian. His many family members in show business include his brother Stanley Lupino (actor and comedian), his daughter Antoinette Lupino (actress), and his nieces Rita and Ida Lupino (actresses). In 1916, he made his Broadway debut in the original musical Robinson Crusoe, Jr. Over the next fourteen years, Lupino appeared in three more Broadway productions including The Love Call (1927-1928), The Red Robe (1928-1929), and Babes in Toyland (1929-1930). In 1918, a year before making his onscreen debut, Lupino produced the film 500 Pounds Reward. His many production credits include television productions of The Fred Emney Show (1957), Ooh La La! (1968), Comedy Playhouse (1962-1969), and more. His onscreen acting career consisted of twelve titles including Barry Butts In (1919), Master and Man (1934), Bed and Breakfast (1938), and his last appearance in I'll Be Your Sweetheart (1945). Minor surface creases (not affecting signature). Unknown residue at face. Heavy mounting residue at verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
