Photograph signed: "Warmest good wishes/Barry Morse". B/w,
4¼x5½. Actor Barry Morse (1918-2008) established himself on the British
stage and television before moving to Canada, where he earned the sobriquet,
"the Laurence Olivier of Canada." Morse became well known to American TV
audiences when he played Lieutenant Gerard, relentless pursuer of The
Fugitive (1963-1967). Morse has remained a familiar face on television,
with roles which included the series Space: 1999 (1975-1977) and
Israeli Prime Minister Begin in the miniseries Sadat (1980). Morse
was married to actress Sydney Sturgess from 1939 until her death in 1999.
