BATMAN TV CAST: ADAM WEST and MALACHI THRONE Photograph of the two actors in a tussle, signed by each other's images respectively Inscribed Photograph signed: "Malachi Throne/ as/ "False Face"", "To Adam/ Adam West", in blue felt tip, b/w, 8x10. In 1965, ADAM WEST (1928-2017), who began acting in 1959, was cast as millionaire Bruce Wayne, AKA "The Caped Crusader", in TV's smash hit Batman. Although he vowed to distance himself from the role after the series was cancelled in 1968, West lent his vocal talents to two animated series: The New Adventures of Batman (1977) and Batman: The New Adventures (1992). He also expressed disappointment over not being offered a cameo role in Batman: The Movie (1989), and in 2003, West appeared with his TV co-star, Burt Ward, in the made-for-television movie, Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt. Family Guy fans will no doubt recognize West's voice as that of the unhinged mayor of Quahog, Rhode Island - named, oddly enough, Adam West. American character actor MALACHI THRONE (1928-2013) has appeared in over 100 movies and TV shows. He's well-remembered for his recurring role in Ben Casey (1964-1965), his performance as the narrator in the cartoon Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light (1987), and for starring with Robert Conrad in It Takes a Thief (1968-1969). Throne has guest starred in numerous science-fiction series including The Outer Limits (1964), Lost in Space (1966), The Time Tunnel (1966-1967), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964-1967), Land of the Giants (1970), and The Six Million Dollar Man (1975). Trekkies may recognize him as Commodore Jose Mendez from the original series two-parter The Menagerie (1966) and as Romulan Senator Pardek from the Next Generation two-part episode Unification (1991). Babylon 5 fans may recognize him from a small but important role as the assassinated Centauri Prime Minister in the 1995 episode The Coming of Shadows. Corners slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
