The part I loved most was Blance Dubois in 'Streetcar Named Desire' by Tennessee Williams - he wrote on so many levels. I played her in many summer theatres. Films and TV have been interesting and challenging for other reasons." Beatrice Straight (1914-2001) was a Broadway actress from 1935, winning a Tony for The Crucible (1953).
