Borrow or Steal, with director William Thiele getting the vapors over the
demands of star Frank Morgan and screenwriters Harry Ruskin, Marion Parsonnet
and Leonard Lee. Morgan starred in Beg, Borrow or Steal two years
before his most well-known role in another MGM film: the Wizard in The Wizard
of Oz.

Steal was a comedy/drama film released by MGM in 1937. It starred FRANK
MORGAN and was directed by WILLIAM THIELE. Beg, Borrow or
Steal was based on a short story by William C. White and was adapted into a
screenplay by three writers, HARRY RUSKIN, MARION PARSONNET and
LEONARD LEE, all of whom signed this photo. Morgan appeared in Beg,
Borrow or Steal two years before his most well-known role in another MGM
film: the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz. Lightly toned, silvered,
stained, creased and bowed. Lee's signature has low contrast but is legible.
Lightly rounded and worn corners. Otherwise in fine condition.
