Signatures: "Ella Logan", "Ben Blue", 6x4½ green album leaf.
Signed on a sheet to which captioned newspaper photos of each are attached (3
surfaces). Ink note (unknown hand) date the Logan signature Aug. 9, 1940, and
place the Blue signature in Buffalo, New York. Canadian born mime, comic and
dancer BEN BLUE (1901-1975) appeared regularly in films from
1927 (The Arcadians) to 1948 (One Sunday Afternoon).
After taking a decade and a half off to manage nightclubs he owned, Blue
returned to film for a series of cameo roles in the 1960s, including It's
a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1964). He starred in one TV series, The
Accidental Family (1967-1968). Singer and actress ELLA LOGAN
(1913-1969), born Ina Allan in Glasgow, Scotland, appeared in several
films between 1936 (Flying Hostess) and 1938 (The Goldwyn
Follies). She was a frequent guest on the TV variety shows of the
1950s. Married to writer and producer Fred F. Finklehoffe from 1942
until their divorce in 1954, she is the aunt of English chanteuse/actress
Annie Ross (born in 1930). Lightly worn. Three filing holes at right edge.
