Ben Blue signs a contract with AFTRA for a Single Television Appearance on The Tony Bennett Show.
Contract signed: "Ben Blue", 1p, front and verso and 4p rider, 8½x11. New York, New York, 1956 July 26. Standard AFTRA Engagement Contract for a Single Television Appearance between Roncom Productions, Inc. and Blue for his appearance as a Guest Star on The Tony Bennett Show, airing August 11, 1956, for $3,500.00. Also signed by a representative of Roncom Productions, Inc. Canadian born mime, comic and dancer Ben Blue (1901-1975) appeared regularly in films from 1927 (The Arcadians) to 1948 (One Sunday Afternoon). After taking a decade and a half off to manage nightclubs he owned, Blue returned to film for a series of cameo roles in the 1960s, including It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1964). He starred in one TV series, The Accidental Family (1967-1968). Staple at upper left corner. Lightly soiled at edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
