BEN FOLDS FIVE: BEN FOLDS
Signed color photograph of musician Ben Folds for his band Ben Folds Five.
Photograph signed: "Ben Folds". Color, 10x8. Singer/songwriter Ben Folds, born Benjamin Scott Folds in 1966, who founded the Ben Folds Five in 1994, has been acclaimed for his talents as a vocalist, pianist and multi-instrumentalist. The group, which broke up in 2000, was a mainstay of piano rock. They released their first album, Ben Folds Five, in 1995, and had Top 40 singles on the British charts with "Underground" (1996), "Battle of Who Could Care Less" (1997), "Kate" (1997), "Brick", which also reached No. 11 on the U.S. charts (1998) and "Army" (1999). Folds, who described his former band as "punk rock for sissies", has released several solo albums and he continues to tour, both with other artists and as a solo act, "Ben Folds and a piano". In the latter, he often involves the audience, inviting them to "play" accompanying instruments, and his improvisions on "Rock This Bitch" are legendary. Folds has also contributed songs to the soundtracks of such feature films as Mr. Wrong (1996), The Truth About Cats & Dogs (1996), Godzilla (1998), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), Jersey Girl (2004) and Over the Hedge (2006), and he has been seen as a guest star on numerous TV shows and specials. Minor surface creases and smudges (not evident head on). Fine condition.
