Autograph letter signed: "Ben" in black ink. 1 page, 7¼x10¼. Written on personal letterhead. New York City, New York. July 1, 1975. Addressed to Broadway producer Charles Forsythe of New York City. In full: "You can't know how deeply I appreciate the extreme care and quality you brought to the producing of MFF! Your extreme patience, and the support of your being on hand in Westport was a great comfort to us all! And not least of all, thanks for your very kind note and gift on opening night. The experience over all has been one of great joy! All my best, always,". Ben Janney was a longtime Broadway stage manager and producer, with dozens of credits to his name. They include The Matchmaker (1955), La Plue de Ma Tante (1958), Ben Franklin in Paris (1964), And Things That Go Bump in the Night (1965), Treemonisha (1975), Dracula (1977), and The Most Happy Fella (1979).
