3½x2 card. Benjamin Arthur "Ben" Gilman (b.1922) is a retired
American politician, former member of the US House of Representatives from New
York (1973-2003). Born in Poughkeepsie, Gilman earned the Distinguished
Flying Cross and the Air Medal in World War II. He obtained a degree at the
Wharton School Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, and later an LL.B.
from New York Law School. Before being elected as a Republican to his first
Congress in 1972, Gilman served in the New York State Assembly from 1967-1972.
He was also the assistant attorney general to the New York State Attorney
(1953-1955). Lightly toned. Fine condition.
