Printed with images of prominent memorials of American history: the Lincoln Memorial, the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, the Washington Monument, the flag-raising at Iwo Jima, and Mt. Rushmore. Benjamin Civiletti (b. 1935) is a lawyer who served as the United States Deputy Attorney General (1978-1979) and Attorney General (1979-1981) during Jimmy Carter's tenure as President. He became Attorney General when Griffin B. Bell resigned from the post. In 2008, Civiletti was selected to be chairman of the Maryland Commission on Capital Punishment. The Commission sought to investigate whether abolishing capital punishment was the right choice for Maryland. Fine condition.
