WHEELER (1895-1968), born Albert Jerome Wheeler, is perhaps best known for appearing in Rio Rita in both the Florenz Ziegfeld stage version and the RKO film version. A star of vaudeville, Wheeler was teamed with Robert Woolsey to form the popular comedy duo Wheeler & Woolsey from the time they both appeared in Rio Rita (1927) until Woolsey's death in 1938. Wheeler appeared in a number of feature films from 1929 through 1941 and later guest starred on television in Brave Eagle (1955) and The Defenders (1961). Dark-haired JORDAN (1906-1988) was a stage actress in the 1920s, with roles in four Broadway musicals between 1925 and 1929, before becoming a leading lady during the early 1930s. She mostly left films in 1933 to marry Merian C. Cooper, the year he co-produced and directed King Kong, but returned to appear in a few John Ford movies in the mid 1950s, including The Searchers (1956). In all, Jordan appeared in almost 30 movies between 1929 and 1957. American actor DILLAWAY (1903-1982) was a stage actor with 10 appearances on Broadway between 1925 and 1937 before making his first of almost 130 movies and TV shows between 1930 and 1967. He had numerous starring roles in the 1930s, including the role of Eddie Smith in the 1932 Laurel and Hardy movie Pack Up Your Troubles. Lightly toned, stained and creased. Torn from binding at top edge. Ink transference on verso (does not touch signatures). Otherwise in fine condition.
