a member of the U.S. Curtis team (1976, 1978) and on the World Cup team (1978) before
joining the LPGA tour in 1979, when she was named Rookie of the Year. The first LPGA
player to earn over $700,000 in a single season and the third to reach the $5 million
mark in winnings (1996), Daniel has won over 30 tournaments, including the Mazda LPGA
Championship in 1990. She was on the Solheim Cup team in 1990 (its inaugural year),

million in career earnings. The two-time LPGA Player of the Year (1984, 1989) was a
member of the 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1998 U.S. Solheim Cup teams. KATHY

1971-1973), set a record of 88 tour wins that remains unsurpassed on both the LPGA and
PGA tours. The leading money winner on the LPGA tour eight times, Whitworth was the
first LPGA player with earnings of $1 million. She was the Captain of the U.S. Solheim
