Art Craft cachet captioned: "Saluting Douglas Fairbanks, Performing Arts Series, 1984. The five stamps, all from the series, are of Fairbanks, George M. Cohan, Will Rogers, Jimmie Rodgers and W. C. Fields. Nominated for 11 Academy Awards for Best Actress, Davis (1908-1989) won in 1936 for her role as Joyce Heath in Dangerous and in 1939 for portraying Julie Marsden in Jezebel. She was also nominated for her roles as Mildred Rogers in Of Human Bondage, Judy Traherne in Dark Victory, Leslie Crosbie in The Letter, Regina Giddens in The Little Foxes, Charlotte Vale in Now, Voyager, Fanny Trellis Skeffington in Mr. Skeffington, Margo Channing in All About Eve, Margaret Elliot in The Star and Jane Hudson in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
