Vintage sepia photograph of Betty Blythe sitting and holding a vase
Photograph Inscribed and Signed: "To Edna/With every good wish/Betty Blythe". Sepia 7½x9½. Betty Blythe (1893-1972) began her career on stage. She entered films in 1918 at the Vitageraph Studios in Brooklyn and then moved to the Fox studio in Hollywood. Although Blythe appeared in numerous films she was most noted for her exotic costumes in such films as The Queen of Sheba (1921) and She (1925). Blythe did receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to the motion picture industry. Faded and lightly stained at all edges. Paper residue (previous mounting) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
