Inscribed photograph signed: "To Herb/Betty Kean", in green ink, 10¼x8. The older half of the performing Kean Sisters, Betty Kean (1915-1986) was a singer and dancer. Beginning as a dancer at Hollywood's Florentine Gardens, Kean soon went on to perform on the big stage, starring in George White's Music Hall Varieties (1932) on Broadway. She appeared in several more Broadway productions, including a co-starring role alongside her sister in the musical Ankles Aweigh. Kean had several film and television credits, appearing in a recurring role as Amy Tucker in Leave It To Larry(1952). The performer was married to comedian Lew Parker until his death in 1972. Corners worn and creased. Toned. Pin holes in bottom right corner. Creases on left margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
