Newspaper photographs of White and Ludden, b/w, 1x1½ and 1x1¼ respectively, affixed to right of signatures. White and Ludden, who had met when Ludden was hosting and White was a panelist on Password, were married from June 14, 1963 until his death on June 8, 1981. The couple worked together on the 1971 TV series, The Pet Set (White was the hostess, Ludden the announcer). Ludden was posthumously awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next to White's star. Television and film actress BETTY WHITE (b. 1922) is perhaps best known for her Emmy Award-winning role as grief counselor Rose Nylund, which she played on four different TV sitcoms: The Golden Girls (1985-1992), Golden Palace (1992-1993), Nurses (1991; guest appearance) and Empty Nest (1989, 1991, 1992; guest appearances). White was also a regular on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973-1977), playing Sue Ann Nivens, and a regular panelist on Password (1961-1975). In addition, she had a few shows of her own: The Betty White Show (1957-1958, formerly Date With the Angels, and 1977) and The Pet Set (1971) among them. The popular actress has appeared in several feature films, a number of TV movies, and a long list of TV series and game shows, most recently Malcolm in the Middle, My Wife and Kids, Everwood, The Practice and The Wayne Brady Show (all 2004). Moreover, she appeared several times on What's My Line?, both as a panelist and a mystery guest, and was a regular guest on The Tonight Show with Jack Paar (1959-1962). Popular television personality ALLEN LUDDEN (1917-1981) is well-remembered as the genial host of Password (1961-1975) and Password Plus (1979-1980). He hosted On The Carousel (1953-1954), The General Electric College Bowl (1959-1962), and the pilot episode of The Joker's Wild (1969). Ludden made several appearances on What's My Line?, both as a panelist and as a mystery guest. Furthermore, he guest starred in several TV series, including Batman (1966), The Odd Couple (1972), The Love Boat (1978, 1980), and Fantasy Island (1980), and even appeared in the 1976 film, Futureworld. George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. Mounting sheet is lightly soiled at blank right margin.
