The sincere wish of". A popular actress of the silent screen, Bayne
frequently co-starred with Francis X. Bushman. (He was Romeo to her Juliet in
the 1916 film version of Shakespeare's play.) Bayne and Bushman were
secretly married in 1918 and very publicly divorced in 1924. Bayne virtually
retired from films after 1925. She remained active on the stage, including five
roles on Broadway. She reappeared in a minor film role in Naked City
(1948). Fine condition.
