BEVERLY WASHBURN
Shown as a child in this 11x8½ printed phototgraph, meeting the Mole Men in a lobby card for the pilot film for The Adventures of Superman. Very Rare!
Inscribed Printed Photograph Signed in Ink: "Dave/ It's so/ nice to meet/ you!/ Beverly Washburn". Color, 11x8½. Shown smiling at the "Mole Men" while her mother gasps in image from Superman and the Mole Men (1951). Beverly Washburn (b. 1943) had her first credited role in this film, which co-starred George Reeves and Phyllis Coates and would become the two-part pilot for the TV series The Adventures of Superman. Washburn played youthful roles in other films, including Frank Capra's Here Comes the Groom (1951) and Old Yeller (1957). On TV, she played the star's teenage daughter on The New Loretta Young Show (1962-1963), and made guest appearances on many series, graduating from child roles to more mature ones in shows like Leave It To Beaver, The Lone Ranger and Star Trek. She returned to feature films occasionally, most recently in Hard Four (2007). Corners lightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
