letterhead to Paul Friscat, North Canton, Ohio. In full: "Thank you
very much for your letter. I am more than happy to answer your question. My
favorite quote is a line by Joseph Conrad: "Work is the sustaining illusion of
an independent existence." I have found this saying to be a great inspiration.

Crystal City, Missouri in 1943, a Princeton graduate and Rhodes Scholar,
captained the gold-medal U.S. basketball team at the 1964 Olympics. As a
pro basketball player with the New York Knicks (1967-1977), Bradley
earned the nickname "Dollar Bill" for his clutch shooting. A 3-term U.S.
Senator from New Jersey (1979-1997), Bradley sought the Democratic nomination
