In full: "Just a short note to let you know I am thinking of you and wishing you happiness on your birthday and always. Warm regards. Sincerely," WILLIAM WARREN BRADLEY (b. 1943), a Princeton graduate and Rhodes Scholar, captained the gold-medal U.S. basketball team at the 1964 Olympics. As a pro basketball player with the New York Knicks (1967-1977), Bradley earned the nickname "Dollar Bill" for his clutch shooting. A 3-term U.S. Senator from New Jersey (1979-1997), Bradley sought the Democratic nomination for President in 2000. DIRECTLY FROM THE SALE OF THE ESTATE OF DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN (1927-2003). Moynihan served four terms in the U.S. Senate (1977-2001) as a Democrat representing New York. A prolific author, Moynihan held positions in the administrations of four Presidents: Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford. Estate inventory numbers in ink (unknown hand) at upper margin, stamped at left margin. Pencil note (unknown hand) in upper right. Date stamp on verso shows through lightly at letterhead. Otherwise, fine condition.
