8x10½. Washington, D.C., 1979 June 6. On his personal Senate letterhead
to George R. Sanders, Enka, North Carolina. In full: "Thank you for
your recent letter. I am pleased to comply with your request. Enclosed you will
find my autographed picture, [Item not included.] which I hope will be a
welcomed addition to your collection. Sincerely". Bradley, born
William Warren Bradley in Crystal City, Missouri in 1943, a Princeton graduate
and Rhodes Scholar, captained the gold-medal U.S. basketball team at
the 1964 Olympics. As a pro basketball player with the New York Knicks
(1967-1977), Bradley earned the nickname "Dollar Bill" for his clutch
shooting. A 3-term U.S. Senator from New Jersey (1979-1997), Bradley sought
the Democratic nomination for President in 2000. 3 file notches at left
