His father, a travel film producer, helped spark his interest in film work. The influence captured him young with Burrud making his first television appearance at the age of 7, and later going on to act in movies with legends Spencer Tracey and John Wayne. In 1950 Burrud turned his attention to television. He coined the word "traventure" to describe the programs he intended to produce. KTTV in Los Angeles purchased his series The Open Road. He later started his own company, Bill Burrud Productions, to produce travel shows and television specials. After his death in 1990, his son John became head of the company. Toned. Corners rounded. Otherwise, fine condition.
