City, New York. In full: "Dear Mr. Willis, Again I feel I must
compliment you and your staff in the tremendous job you've accomplished. The
latest Volume of "Theatre World" is - Well incredible - Each year theatre gets
more diverse and eclectic and your job gets more detailed and complete. How you
manage is beyond this "laymans" comprehension. The whole of the theatrical
community owes you a debt of gratitude. Thank you - again". Bill McIntyre
(1929-2010) is an actor of stage and film, first appearing in The
Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild in 1972. He appeared in a few more
Broadway plays after his premiere, including Legend (1976) and The
Inspector General (1978). His work on television was more prolific,
appearing in a number of television series, with a recurring role as Billy
Joe Bates in Dallas (1989). John A. Willis (1916-2010), active in
Theatre World from the beginning, became its chief editor in 1965,
holding that position until 2008. Willis is regarded as one of the foremost
theatre and film historians of the 20th century. While producing (and
presenting) the annual Theatre World Awards, Willis also served on the
nominating committee for the Tony Awards. Theatre World, which
received its own Tony for Excellence in Theatre in 2001, continues
under chief editor Ben Hodges. Multiple folds. Surface creases, esp. bottom
