My/best always/Bill Anderson/12-1-67", 6¾x9¼ album leaf with 2½x2¾ b/w
newspaper photograph attached at lower left. Country music singer and
songwriter Anderson had his first #1 country hit, "Mama Sang a Song", in
1962. A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1961, he was named to the
Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1975. Anderson hosted a TV quiz show,
The Better Sex (1977-1978), and continues to tour with his band, Po
Folks. Irregular left edge from removal from bound book. Fine
condition.
