Typed Letter signed: "Bill Anderson", 1p, 7x10½. Nashville, Tennessee, 1966 January 6. On his personal letterhead to Mr. Kenneth E Crouch, Bedford, Virginia. Begins: "Dear Kenneth". In full: "Thank you very much for your nice letter, and my apologies for not having answered it sooner. I appreciate your interest and I'm happy to enclose the picture [not present] you requested. I hope you'll like it. My band and I will be in Christiansburg the 22nd of this month. Perhaps you can make plans to come to our show. Sincerely," Country music singer and songwriter Anderson had his first #1 country hit, "Mama Sang a Song", in 1962. A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1961, he was named to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1975. Anderson hosted a TV quiz show, The Better Sex (1977-1978), and continues to tour with his band, Po Folks. Fold creases through signature. Fine condition.
