about the 5th of August, as long as I don't have to go to Macclesfield. I don't
mind what I open- late etc aslong [sic] as they provide transport not
audits some one's back yard. Do hope you have more people in Southport than are
here. It's been declared a disaster area. See you in a week's time.
Sincerely,". British actor Dainty (1927-1986) is probably best
remembered for his long career in British pantomime. He made his stage debut
as the only boy in the all-girl Betty Fox dance troupe in Birmingham, England
and, after training as a comedian at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, appeared
in his first pantomime in 1942 at age 15. Known for his "dame" performances -
basically comic cross-dressing - his fine dancing and his "funny walks", he
acted in pantomime until the 1985-1986 season, when he was forced to drop out
due to poor health. Dainty was also a stage and variety actor and, in response
to the decline of interest in variety shows, a TV actor. Lightly toned and
creased. Folded in half horizontally and twice vertically. Otherwise in fine
condition.
