The All-Star NHL player signs his name in green felt tip on this newspaper photograph, shown wearing his New York Islanders uniform.
Newspaper photograph signed: "Billy/Harris", in green felt tip, B/w 7¾x11 attached to a card (2 surfaces). Canadian hockey player Billy Harris (b. 1952) played with the National Hockey League from 1972 to 1984. He is most associated with the New York Islanders, with whom he played from the 1972-1973 season to the 1979-1980. He was traded midseason in 1979-1980 to the Los Angeles Kings; that, of course, was the first year that they won the Stanley Cup. In all, Harris played in 897 games and scored 231 goals, with 40 power play goals and 8 short-handed goals, and was a member of the 1976 All-Star roster. He was a machine with the Islanders, with five consecutive 80-game seasons (1974-1985 to 1978-1979). He also had seven seasons where he scored 20 or more goals - including the 1975-1976 season, when he scored 32. Corners and edges lightly worn. Bottom left corner bowed. Toned. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
