NELSON (1903-1979) was an American actor, known for his television and film
work. He appeared in over 80 film and screen titles, starting in the
short Crook's Tour in 1933, and often appearing in Hal Roach
shorts. He continued to work appearing in minor roles, where his blue
collar appearance often landed him roles such as thugs, cab drivers, and
bartenders. In the five year run of the Adventures of Superman
(1953), he managed to be cast in five different episodes as five different
thugs, helping cement his place in blue collar history. His last film was
Pocketful of Miracles in 1961. Light wear at corners. Some ink
bleeding on inscription. Fine condition.
