Squier" in silver ink. B/w, 8x10. American rock musician Billy Squier (b.
1950) is best known for his string of arena rock hits in the 1980s; his best
known song is "The Stroke" form his 1981 Triple Platinum album
Don't Say No. Squier spent the 1970s in Boston where he was a part
of the bands Magic Terry & The Universe and Piper, the latter's debut album
being hailed by Circus Magazine as the greatest debut album ever produced by an
U.S. rock band, and the group went on to open for KISS at Madison Square Garden.
However, Squier left the band to record Don't Say No which went on to be a
worldwide best-seller, and the singer became popular on the new MTV cable
channel. He went on to have hits with his album Signs of Life
with the song "Rock Me Tonite" (1984) and with the 1982 album
Emotions in Motion with the songs "Everybody Wants You" and
"Emotions in Motion". Fine condition.
