BILOXI BLUES MOVIE CAST: MATTHEW BRODERICK and PENELOPE ANN MILLER
The pair signs this still from the 1988 film in black felt tip
Printed Photograph signed in Ink: "Matthew Broderick" and "Penelope Ann Miller" both in black felt tip, b/w, 8x10. Stage and screen actor MATTHEW BRODERICK (b. 1962) found success on Broadway before making his film debut in WarGames in 1983, which happened to be same year he won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Brighton Beach Memoirs. He also happened to win the Theatre World Award for the previously mentioned performance. Broderick would go on to win another Tony in 1985 for How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and be nominated in 2001 for The Producers. Known for his boyish good looks, Broderick became a bona fide film star thanks to Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), and he has since appeared in films such as Glory (1989), The Lion King (1994), Inspector Gadget (1999), and You Can Count on Me (2000). He has been married to actress Sarah Jessica Parker since 1997. PENELOPE ANN MILLER (b. 1964) is an actress who began her career on the stage, appearing in Biloxi Blues, the Neil Simon play centered on a power struggle between a soldier and his superior during basic training. She was nominated for a Tony for her performance as Emily in Our Town. A handful of the films in which she has appeared include Kindergarten Cop (1990), Along Came a Spider (2001), and Funny Money (2005). More recently, Miller appeared on the TV series Mistresses and earned a regular role on American Crime. Gently bowed. Otherwise, fine condition.
