I didn't know we were going on until I got down there. I was doing some promos for Bob Hope in connection with the big TV show he was doing, celebrating his 25th anniversary with NBC, and all of a sudden they ran us on the Carson Show. I did my best to plug the book, but they kind of overwhelmed me. Good to hear from you, Eugenie. I hope this finds you in good health and spirits. Always your good friend." A popular singer with bands in the 1940s, EUGENIE MEAD, when she was Eugenie Baird, often appeared on CROSBY's Kraft Music Hall radio show, which aired from 1935-1946. She also sang with Louis Armstrong, Mel Tormé, Spike Jones, Cab Calloway and others. Bing Crosby appeared on The Johnny Carson Show on October 15, 1975, as did Bob Hope. Crosby and Hope appeared together in over 20 films including seven "Road" comedies. Lightly creased. Fine condition.
